Kazashim

Having been nominated for ‘Best Rap Song’ under ‘The Wammie Awards’ as a collaborator on Sean-Michael’s record ‘Swim’ in January 2020 to featuring on ‘TrapxArt’s Digital Magazine’ issued on July 1st, 2021, Kazashim can only continue to accomplish and exceed higher heights in the future years of his career.   

Manipulating auditory and visual illustrations, Kazashim continues to find solace and growth with displays of ego death and sentimentality in his craft through songs like ‘Genesis of the…’, ‘Greatest’ ‘Better Days’ and ‘Red Light Renegade’ as questions and statements for his present and future self.

With sounds that range from Hip-Hop, R&B Soul, Alternative Jazz and hints of funk, Toronto-based and Nigerian born artist Kaza Kid has drawn much inspiration from several world-renowned stars over the years. From the likes of Mali Music, KB, Ty Dolla Sign, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Linkin Park, Vince Staples. Stormzy and more; Kazashim graces us with heavy hitting baselines, intricate melodies, raw executions, thought provoking verses and catchy hooks that keep listeners engaged and wanting more. 

Kazashim’s past year has been showered with accolades in the early stages of his career, through a vigilant work ethic while perfecting his craft. He has been known to display high energy and charisma on-stage at venues in Toronto such as ‘The Grand Gerrard Theatre’, ‘The Smiling Buddha’ in the later months of 2019. After his debut Album ‘Genesis of The Black Sheep’, he had two follow-up EPs ‘Brainstorming’ & ‘All Smiles in 10’ in the same year. His latest project ‘Hotel Cerebrum’ released in September 2020 is now scaling over 100,000+ streams on Spotify. His most recent endeavours involved explosive performances at venues ‘Handlebar’ and ‘Nightowl’ as well as ‘The MixDOWN Vol 3’ in 2022 and a 6-day venture at the ‘Summer Dreams Tour’ in 2023Kazashim further perpetuates his sound to the masses with collaborative efforts from the likes of the Canadian Arts Council and various event managers to display the true spectacle of his work so far.
